36 Days of Type #10
Starting in 2014 as a personal project from graphic designers Nina Sans and Rafa Goicoechea to challenge themselves to create something new everyday, the 36 Days of Type is now a 36 days celebration of typography and creativity, involving designers, visual artists and creatives from all fields in a global and simultaneous act of creativity around type and letterfoms.
For this year's challenge, I decided to explore the forms of blackletter type. Often reduced down to just the typeface Old English, blackletter type provides of a wealth of expression which I wanted to investigate.
